Hampton & Richmond Borough full back Tom Jelley admits the day the Beavers won the Ryman Premier League title feels a long time ago now pre-season training has returned.

Boss Alan Dowson has welcomed his squad back to the Beveree  as the club prepares for its return to the National League South after their thrilling title triumph.

And Jelley revealed it is all hands on deck now for the coming campaign.

Happy days: Tom Jelley with a friend during the post-matrch pitch invasion that greeted the club's Ryman Premier League title triumph

"Winning the league was the best day of my life and I'll remember it forever," he said.

"When you look back at it, it is quite surreal really.

"There was a pitch invasion and we were playing infront of about 2,000 people. You wonder if it really happened.

"I had a picture taken on the picture with a friend when it was all going mad.

"It is not long ago I was playing Sunday football infront of a man and his dog.

"It is great to be back because I have been a bit bored on a Saturday, to be fair.

"I can't wait to actually play and this is where the hard work starts."
