AFC Wimbledon defender Jon Meades already knows what he is looking forward to most when the new League One season kicks off.

Aside from taking on the franchise, the Dons will be facing the likes of Sheffield United, Millwall and Coventry City.

“I am looking forward to playing Charlton Athletic at the Valley,” he said.

“I have played there in the cup, they are a massive club with a good stadium - so I cannot wait to go there.

“Then there is Bolton, I used to watch them in the Premier League as a young boy and looked up to Jay Jay Okohca – I loved him – now we are playing them. It’s just amazing.”

He added: “Then there’s the one we don’t talk about – it will be a great occasion for us to see if we can do a job on them.”
