Callum Kennedy has put pen to paper on a new at AFC Wimbledon after convincing boss Neal Ardley his desire to succeed is at its strongest.
The 25-year-old made 29 appearances for the Dons last season, but lost his place to academy product Ben Harrison.
However, Ardley insisted he has seen a new hungrier version of Kennedy and now he wants none of his League Two rivals to benefit at the Dons expense.
He told Dons Player: "Credit must go to Callum and in the review that we had at the end of last season it was clear that the guy has changed his whole outlook.
"He is is now fitter, hungrier and mentally stronger than he has ever been.
"It would have been a shame to let someone else benefit from all of that work that we have done with him."
