Beddington Cricket Club are mourning the death of former fast bowler Peter Loader, who has died aged 81.
Wallington-born Loader was a member of the famous Surrey side that won seven successive County Championships from 1952 to 1958 and played 39 times for England.
He is best known for having taken England’s first post-war hat-trick against the West Indies in 1957.
Former Surrey skipper Micky Stewart said: “He was one of the finest swing bowlers I knew.”
