Striders of Croydon were triumphant at the second annual Helen Furze Memorial Mobmatch against Wimbledon Windmilers, held in conjunction with the parkrun at Nonsuch Park on Saturday.

Striders were led home by Peter Mills who finished second in 17 minutes five seconds.

Veteran Krzysztof Klidzia placed ninth overall and first in the over-50 category, recording 18:31.

Taric Matticks was 13th (18:59), Greg Williams 16th (19:11), Graeme Drysdale 18th (19:30), Simon Pannell 21st (19:38), Dave Shaw 22nd (19:39) and Paul Finch 28th (19:52).

Striders’ women were led by Becky Laurence, who was the sixth woman to finish, recording exactly 22 minutes.

Steph Upton was eighth (22:17), Debra Bourne 17th (23:53), Serena Stracey 29th (25:15), Michelle Campbell 32nd (25:35), Linda Daniel 41st (26:22) and Selena Wong 49th (27:02).

As for the parkrun race, Ollie Garrod of Epsom & Ewell Harriers was first through the tape in 16:22, followed by Striders' Mills and Graham Russ (17:21).

Dominique Corradi of Sutton & District AC broke the women's tape in 19:06, followed by Sutton Runners' Elinor Nippard (20:15) and Laura Gomersall of Epsom & Ewell Harriers (21:16).
