Surbiton’s Sarah Haycroft has insisted her side fear no-one after returning to the top of the Women’s Hockey League Premier Division table.
Sister act Vicky and Amy Bryant scored the goals that gave the Sugden Road outfit a 2-1 win at Olton & West Warwick on Saturday to make it three wins from three games in the top flight.
“The scoreline did not really reflect how we dominated play,” said Haycroft, who has been captain for the last two games in Chloe Strong’s absence.
“We are confident we can win every game. We are not scared of any one particular team.”
Surbiton host Bowdon Hightown in the league on Saturday and Maidstone in the Women’s National Cup on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Surbiton's beat national Premier Division rivals Southgate 2-1 at Sugden Road in the EHB Cup on Sunday thanks to goals from Alexander Penney and skipper Tim Deakin.
Deakins's men need to get their act together in the league after slipping to the foot of the England Hockey League Premier Division table 24 hours earlier after a 4-4 draw with the same team.
Surbiton host Exeter-based West Premier Division One outfit Isca in the third round of the cup on October 28 and host Canterbury on Sunday.
