Sutton tennis player Tom Burn made full use of home advantage to win the men’s singles title at the Aegon LTA Open Tournament, held at Sutton Tennis and Squash Club.
The 27-year-old, ranked 812 in the world, beat Andrew Fitzpatrick, ranked 461, in a walkover in Saturday’s final.
The tournament’s number one women’s seed Anna Fitzpatrick from Yorkshire won the female singles after her opponent Lucy Brown retired hurt.
Winners in the juniors sections included: Morgan Harlem (U8 mixed singles); Dalanda Bah (U9 mixed singles); Samuel Pang (U10 mixed singles); Tara Hefer (U12 girls singles); David Brehme (U14 boys singles); Aidan Saggers (U16 boys singles) and Luke Porter (U18 boys singles).
