Kingston College is delighted to announce that Trampoline Academy student, Emma Britton, has been crowned British Colleges Sport’s Student of the Year.

Emma was shortlisted for the Award for Best Sporting Performance and attended the awards ceremony last week when the final placings were announced.

Emma, from Wimbledon, who is studying for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport, has had an outstanding year as a member the Kingston College Trampoline Academy and has won this award following a number of outstanding performances at both regional and national level this year, most recently representing Great Britain in the Four Nations Championships.

A delighted Emma said: “I am honoured to be the first ever recipient of this award, and feel excited that I have been chosen over all the over students in the country. Trampolining is an amazing sport and I hope it will also bring more recognition to the sport as well.”

Emma’s tutor and Academy Director, Sarah Silvester added: “Emma has gone from strength to strength since joining Kingston College. She has won every team event she has entered, is part of the College team and has won the British Schools and British College titles as an individual, which highlights how well her College course has encompassed her trampoline training.”
