Teddington opener James Keightley’s massive innings of 133 and five wickets for spinner Duncan Wood was not enough as Richmond held on to draw Saturday’s Middlesex County league Premier Division derby clash.
Keightley’s efforts - along with skipper Toby Bailey’s 52 - helped his side post 270 for seven from 60 overs against the league’s bottom side at Bushy Park.
Wood (5-59) toiled for nearly half his side’s 72 overs as the visitors showed stern resistance to reach 200 with eight wickets down and stop Teddington from claiming maximum points that would have pushed them to second in the table.
Twickenham’s overseas player James Munting starred with bat and ball as skipper Carlos Nunes’ men were left similarly frustrated after drawiing with Harrow in Division Two.
The Australian all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 104 in his side’s 271 for nine on the Green, before claiming figures of 4-40 as the visitors battted through to 165 for seven.
In Division Three, Barnes were thrashed at home by Harrow Town after the hosts were dismissed for 145 with only Joe Taylor (64) showing any resistance.
Town’s overseas player Tyrone Theophile led the charge with 61 from 36 balls as the visitors strolled to victory from 20.2 overs for the loss of just three wickets.
