Carshalton once again produced a display of high quality football to play their way into the play-off final.

Another outstanding finish by Richard Jolly from Jamie England’s through pass gave the Robins a slender half-time lead, but the visitors were the better side for much of the half and came close on several other occasions.

Another good spell of football in the early part of the second half culminated in a second goal that was finally put in the net by Charlie Ide after some good build-up play involving Jolly and Stevens and the Robins looked to be cruising, but with Jamie England forced off with an injury Tonbridge began to exploit the space on the right side and, when Lewis Gonsalves conceded a penalty for a foul on Ferguson, Carl Rook scored from the spot to bring the home team back into the game with 20 minutes remaining.

With ten minutes left Tonbridge were back on terms when Ferguson broke again down the right and his low cross found Paul Booth who found space to score in a crowded goalmouth.

The Robins were rocking at this point with the injured Ide having been replaced by Junior Kadi, but with five minutes left a superb pass by the Robins substitute presented Richard Jolly with another chance to hold off his desperate marker before drawing goalkeeper Worgan and scoring with a superb placed shot to send the Robins team and their supporters massed behind the goal into raptures.
