Kempton Park Racecourse's series of money-saving recession-busting deals in 2009 continues with free admission on the night of Wednesday, 18 March.

It's the evening when the inaugural Kentucky Derby Challenge Stakes is run at London's racecourse in a new link-up with Churchill Downs Racecourse in Kentucky.

The winning horse at Kempton Park can take part, for the first time, in the Kentucky Derby in the United States in May - America's equivalent of The Derby at Epsom Downs.

The race will be the most valuable staged at Kempton Park on the all-weather course with prize-money of £80,000.

To get complimentary admission on Wednesday 18 March, all visitors have to do is to download the free voucher from the racecourse's website www.kempton.co.uk.

What's more, diners are benefiting too from the price reductions.

There's a special Kentucky night offer in the panoramic bar and restaurant where the two-course dinner from the a la carte menu - with a free class of Champagne - is 'buy one, get one half price'. Prices are £39.95 per person.

Kempton Park's managing director Amy Starkey said: "The first Kentucky Derby Challenge Stakes is a tremendously exciting occasion for the racecourse, and we want as many people as possible to have the chance to enjoy it. So it's free entry with our online admission voucher, and there's superb value for money in the panoramic restaurant too."

The first race on Wednesday 18 March is at 6.50pm. More information can be found at www.kempton.co.uk or by calling 01932 782292.
