At the third round of the UK Youth Development League, Croydon Harriers' youngsters finished a gallant third in the Southern Premier Two fixture at Hornchurch.

Leading the way was English Schools-bound Israel Ospina, who returned to form after recovering from a broken arm to clock 37.1 seconds in the U15 boys' 300m.

Jack Ennis enjoyed two event victories on the field, first leaping to 5.25m in the long jump, with colleague Adrian Panton just 12cm behind to secure the B win.

Ennis then cleared 1.75m in the high jump, with training partner Jude Russell matching that feat to bag maximum points.

In the U13 ranks, Xander Collins won the 75m hurdles (12.1secs) and high jump (1.45m).

In the U15 girls' events, Kayla Bowley and Toni Bryan completed a remarkable double sprint win in the 100m and 200m respectively.

India Toselad produced the pick of the U13 girls' performances winning the 75m in 10,1secs.
