Tooting & Mitcham United take the flight across the Channel tomorrow to face a Guernsey side gunning for revenge.

When the Greens visited the KNK stadium in October, a mid-week match forced them into fielding a depleted side.

They were severely punished when Dan Summers banged home a hat-trick in a 5-2 win.

However, the advantage is with the Islanders this time round, with Terrors boss Craig Tanner admitting they face a tough outing.

He said: "It’s a bit of an inconvenience to be honest - getting up early in the morning, playing earlier so we can get a flight back.

"It’s a massive advantage for them, but we had the advantage when we played them in mid-week, they put out a depleted side, and we beat them 5-2."

He added: "You have to approach it like we did last year, when he played really well, and we made two mistakes and lost 2-1, which was the story of our season then.

"We need to carry on the little bit of momentum we've built, so it’s important we go there, perform well and take maximum points."
