Results might not count at this stage of the summer, but boss Tommy Williams says Kingstonian have plenty to prove this weekend.

The new Ks chief will cast his eye over five hopefuls in Saturday’s training match at Walton Casuals – which kicks off the club’s pre-season campaign – and Williams wants them to impress.

“We do want to get into that winning mentality early, but at the same time it is part of getting everyone match sharp for the start of the season,” he said.

“We only wanted to bring in a small number of trialists – about four or five – so we did not disrupt the group we’ve already got.

“I know what they can do it is just a case of seeing how they fit in with everyone.”
