Kingstonian striker Ryan Moss collected all three main end of season awards this week, before warning that his work was far from complete.

The former AFC Bournemouth trainee was named the supporters’, players’ and manager’s player of the year on Monday to cap a profitable Easter weekend.

The 26-year-old’s double in Monday’s 5-1 triumph over relegated Carshalton Athletic took his season’s goal tally to 26 and guaranteed the club a Ryman Premier League top five finish.

A final day win at Dulwich Hamlet would go a long way to landing a home play-off semi-final tie and possible home advantage in any prospective final.

Ks, who beat champions Wealdstone 4-0 on Saturday, are in the midst of a 13 game unbeaten run.

And Moss, pictured with captain Sam Page, reckons that form means they will be the team to beat in the promotion race.

“I was really humbled to get all three awards,” he said.

“It is a nice achievement and it was a great night, but the job is not done yet.

“We want a home draw in the play-offs. History says form teams tend to win the play-offs. “Ourselves and Bognor Regis Town are probably the two form teams up there.

“Everyone else seems to be losing their way a bit.

“It is looking good so far, but there is still work to do.”

Ks have the fourth best away record in the league this term and – with 20 cleansheets this term – have the best defensive record in the division alongside champions Wealdstone.

Up top, Moss and his 29-year-old strike partner McCollin have led the way in the goascoring charts.

Boss Alan Dowson’s lost in the final the last time they reached the play-offs, while Moss has his own memories of disappointment in the Southern League Premier Division with AFC Totton and Bashley.

But the junior partner in Kingstonian’s strike force insisted the club had the squad to go one step further this time around – particularly if his side secures a home draw.

“The boys love playing at home and we have a great footballing record at Kingsmeadow,” he said.

“Our away form is pretty good too so we don’t really mind where we play.

“I lost in the play-offs with Totton four or five years ago and did the same with Bashley, so I’ve got something to prove.

“This is the most talented group of players I have played with.

“Yes, Andre and I have been banging in the goals, but you look around the squad, and players like Sam Akinde and Charlie Knight have come in and found the net too.”
