Carshalton boxer Danny Connor has been sparring with an old foe ahead of his shot at the British Masters international gold title this evening.
Last time out, the light welterweight was beaten by Tyler Goodjohn, and Connor has turned to Goodjohn in preparation for the 10-round bout at York Hall.
Connor’s opponent is yet to be announced, but the 28-year-old is far from unsure of his own approach as he gets back into the ring for the first time this year.
“This is my time, I’m coming back with a bang. And I guarantee I’ll be a champion again this year,” he said.
“I have been working so hard on the things that needed improving. People are gonna see a slick, focused killer in that ring.”
