Hercules Wimbledon AC teenager Cassian Hyde warmed up for the coming track season with a personal best performance in the Bushy parkrun on Saturday.

Hyde finished third out of more than 1,200 runners in 16 minutes 25 seconds to chop 13 seconds off his previous best time, set in June last year.

His time is also the second best ever clocked over the distance by a Hercules Wimbledon U17 athlete.

In Richmond Park, another Hercules Wimbledon teenager, Jack Collins, was second out of 354 runners in the parkrun in 18:18 - it was his highest placing in 12 appearances in the event.

Phil Glynn was the best of more than a dozen Hercules Wimbledon runners in the Wimbledon Common parkrun on Saturday.

He was fourth out of 346 runners in 17:29, eight seconds ahead of clubmate Peter Collins who was fifth in a new personal best.

His time sliced five seconds off his previous best set when finishing fourth the previous Saturday.

Clubmate James Moorcroft was ninth in 18:25, with Charles Hampden-Smith second veteran over-50 finisher in a new personal best of 19:11.

Hampden-Smith, who has contested the Wimbledon Common event more than 250 times, took seven seconds off his previous best time for the course set in May 2012.

Fred Slemeck was the best of the Hercules Wimbledon squad that spent the Easter bank holiday weekend competing in the Isle of Man Easter running festival.

He was 14th out of 240 runners in the 10km road race on Good Friday in 32:17, leading the team to sixth place.

Other members of the quartet were Kieran White, 20th in 32:54, Alex Robinson 22nd in 32:57, and Liam White, 26th in 33:18.

On Easter Saturday, Slemeck was top finisher in the Hill Race, finishing in sixth spot with Robinson 18th, Kieran White 26th and Liam White 34th.

Liam White was the fastest member of the relay quartet that finished seventh in the 4x5km event on Sunday.
