Walton Athletics Club’s Sophie Mace smashed the UK U17 girls throws pentathlon record by more than 1,000 points at Swindon Harriers’ Winter Throws Invitational Series on Saturday.

Mace’s brother Sam set a new U15s UK best points total in Wiltshire to ensure parity in the East Molesey pair’s household.
