Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers’ Phoebe Law finished fourth in the U17 women’s race at the Inter County Cross Country Championships in Birmingham on Saturday.

The 17-year-old clocked 19 minutes 29 seconds to finish outside of the medals and 58 seconds behind winner 15-year-old Harriet Knowles-Jones, while clubmate Darcey Bourne finished 29th in U13 girls race.

Closer to home, Sam Shaw won the final race of the season to be crowned the Downs League’s U13 boys individual cross country champion on Sunday as he led Kingston AC & Polytechnich Harriers to the U13s team title.

Shaw won three of his four league races.

The U11s ended the season as runners-up as were the U15s team for whom Mollie O’Sullivan was individual U15 girls champion with four wins from four races.
