Kemp wants Crystal Palace to get more out trips to the big boys of the Premier League
Crystal Palace go to Arsenal this afternoon looking to get something more out of a game against one of the big names, according to technical coach David Kemp.
The Eagles lost out at Manchester City and Chelsea by just a single goal, and Kemp believes they should have got more out of the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal were knocked off the top of the Premier League in mid-week after a 2-2 draw at Southampton.
Manchester City’s 5-1 win at Tottenham lifted them above their title contending rivals.
Palace, after a 1-0 win over Hull City on Tuesday night, lay 14th in the table.
Kemp said: “We go to Arsenal with the confidence that comes off the back of consecutive league wins.
“We will set ourselves up to make it difficult for Arsenal, but we need to look to get something out of the game.
“Against the top sides we have played well, but it is time for us to start getting results and some rewards for the good displays.”
He added: “Getting back to back wins in the Premier League is very good, there are no easy fixtures in this league.
“But we have to be realistic, we like to think the Premier League is a level playing field but it’s not.
“Arsenal have a budget of an established Premier League side, and we are the fresh-faced side with nowhere near their financial clout.”
