Assistant coach Martin Tyler has seen a few strike partnerships in his time and labelled Kingstonian’s Andre McCollin and Ryan Moss as unique.

The Sky Sports football commentator has seen Chris Sutton & Alan Shearer, Andy Cole & Dwight Yorke, Ian Wright & Dennis Bergkamp come and go during his top flight media career.

McCollin’s hat-trick and Moss’ 13th goal of the season ensured Ks went top of  the  Ryman Premier League last week - ahead of AFC Hornchurch on goal difference  - and Tyler believes they are more threatening than former Ks hero Bobby Traynor.

“We’ve had some outstanding forwards here in our time,” he said warning the 27-goal pair would only get better.

“Bobby Traynor is a club legend, but we’ve never had a partnership like this I don’t think.

“They are different, but they complement each other and I think they’re learning more as each week goes by.”

McCollin may have had to sweet talk defender Matt Drage if he is to be credited with the hat-trick that took his season’s tally to 14.

The centre back claims he got the final touch to the former Yeovil Town striker’s spectacular overhead kick.

“Dragey came over to get got a drink during an injury stoppage in the and told us it wouldn’t have gone in but for him,” added Tyler.

But Dowson was in no doubt who netted.

“I get tired of defenders saying they got the final touch and all that,” he said.

“I’ve got no problem with giving the goal to Andre. It was his all day long.”
