Ryman Premier
Kingstonian kept the pressure on the Ryman Premier league leaders thanks to a 2-0 win over Margate at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.
Goals from full-back Aaron Goode and Ryan Moss, his 12th of the season, mean the Ks are level on points with Maidstone United at the top, although they have played one game more.
The news was not so good for our other teams with Hampton & Richmond, Met Police and Carshalton Athletic all losing on the road.
After four matches unbeaten, the Robins came unstuck at promotion-chasing Wealdstone 3-1 – Adriano Moraes’ first goal of the season was the only consolation.
Charlie Moone’s 17th goal of the season had the Beavers ahead at Canvey Island, only for two second half goals to turn the tide in the favour of the hosts.
Met Police went down 4-1 at Hendon, Howard Newton got on the scoresheet but the Met were already 4-0 down at the time.
Ryman Division One South
Tooting & Mitcham’s Jordan Cheadle hit a hat-trick on Saturday but still ended up on the losing side as the Terrors went down 4-3 at home to Eastbourne Town.
After three successive League wins, the Terrors would have expected to climb on to the coat tails of the play-off places as Eastbourne began the day bottom of the table and without an away win to their name.
At the other end of the table, Ian Draycott’s late strike sealed all three points from a 1-0 win over Merstham at Fetcham Grove.
The win leaves the Tanners in sixth, but with up to four games in hand of their rivals.
Walton & Hersham, Corinthian Casuals and Walton Casuals all fell foul of the weather and were postponed.
