Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers toasted medals at the Surrey Cross Country Championships in Croydon’s Lloyd Park on Saturday.

The club’s U13 girls led the way with a team silver over the 3.25km course, while the U13 boys collected team bronze over the same distance.
 

Pippa Earley led the girls home as she finished seventh in 15 minutes, 55 seconds, with Mollie Sullivan (16:26) 10th, Darcey Bourne (16:28) 11th and Rebecca Keddie (17:17) in 20th.
 

Sam Shaw (15:14) was the first  home for the boys in 10th, followed by Jorge Beltrao (15:56) in 18th and Aaron Bruce (16:08) in 24th.

Worcester Park’s Great Britain international  Phil Wicks finished fourth in senior men’s race.
 

The Cobham-based 28-year-old Belgrave Harrier, who won the race in 2011, 2009 and 2008, clocked 42:25 over the 12km course – 57 seconds behind winner and clubmate Paskar Owor.
 

Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers’ Gordon Pearce (46:17) was his club’s first man home in 21st.
 

In the senior women’s race, Jo Bourne (41.31) was 73rd and Nicky Atkins (41:44) came 74th to be Kingston’s best performers.
 

Walton Athletics Club’s Conor Kissane-Wood found the going heavy in the U20 men’s race as the 18-year-old clocked 28:41 seconds to finish ninth.
