Director of rugby Simon Amor has moved to fill a vacancy in the London Scottish front row by adding American World Cup prop Eric Fry to his squad.
The 25-year-old USA Eagles star arrives from Manawatu Turbos, who play in New Zealand's ITM Cup, and can play on either side of the scrum.
California-born Fry made his debut for his homeland ahainst Tonga in the 2011 Churchill Cup and went on to play a full Pool C game against Australia in the World Cup later the same year.
"We're delighted to bring in a player who has played international rugby, can play both loosehead and tighthead and has a tremendous work ethic," said Amor.
"With only three contracted props in our squad previously, we felt it was necessary to strengthen in that area, despite all three going well on the pitch, so that we can add some support, back-up and competition to the team."
