Bank of England skipper Ed Waite praised his team after a 24-15 win over
Belsize Park in the Herts/M’sex Division One.
Tries from Rory MacDonald and Oli Posgate, plus 14 points off James Marshall’s boot, had Waite purring.
“It was a big game for us and one we had to win to keep our hunt for the title and promotion alive,” he said.
“The boys responded magnificently to the pressure, we played the best rugby we have done all season against a tough and determined opposition who never gave up.”
Waite’s Bank of England travel to mid-table London Welsh Amateurs this weekend in the last game before the Christmas break.
