Dons board to snub MK hospitality (From Wimbledon Guardian)

I'm surprised he's going to the match. I thought MK Dons didn't exist in his eyes. Simon Wheeler of WISA has said he isn't going. I'm afraid the real character of AFC is going to be exposed in the coming weeks over the coming historic FA Cup tie.

So your club is drawn into the biggest game it'll ever have, it's on ITV1 which will never happen again and you snub us and the supposed face of AFC Simon Wheeler is taking his girlfriends mother to the garden centre?
It was asked yesterday who will sing The Dons the loudest. We will, because MK's fans care and will go anywhere and do anything to support their team.
Stonybloke is right, it will show AFC for what they really are.

Nice to see the Olympic legacy of sport for the sake of sport is uppermost in the minds of Wimbledon supporters old and new. Grow up the lot of you. It is, after all, only a game. Slagging each other off means you all lose what little respect any neutrals may have for either team. Let's face it unless the winning side continues to get the luck of the draw you'll both be out of the competition by the end of January.

I have followed many of the posts with regards to AFC and MK Dons and quite frankly find it very childish indeed.
Your grunts and groans should be with your council and the FA etc etc. Nothing is going to change so instead of moaning get to grips with the game of football. Boycotting the game will make no difference to MK Dons and their supporters and the only ones losing out will be the AFC Wimbledon fans. Simon Wheeler's a bit soft in the head and says " I would rather take my girlfriend's mother to the garden centre than go to that game" Good on him then. Go look at plants with your G/F's Mother as we will all be enjoying the good old game of Football. Maybe AFC will win and if they do that's one for you all to dance too just bloody enjoy it and move on.You all may see MK Dons as a plastic club etc etc etc but nobody in MK cares really. They enjoy the game and have good average attendances in comparison to some clubs in the same division. These attendances will only get better and better. There are still staff at MK Dons that came with Wimbledon and still some fans who travel to see them.
Anyway i am just getting bored bored bored with the people who are ignoring the true reason why Wimbledon ended up in MK and just stirring the crap. Nobody stole your Club that's a fact so read the politics of your clubs demise and have a look at your fans behavior at that time . You have a good history of boycotting so why not another. Grow up , move on and enjoy the great game of Football. If you come to stadium MK you can even get something to eat at Franchise McDonalds or franchise KFC.

Have you forgotten you lost the tie that would have allowed you to play Wimbledon the last time. We played the team that beat you.Our biggest recent game was against a real club- Luton Town, to get back into the league i.e. our 5th promotion. Of course promotion is something you know nothing about. On the point of big games - When Dave went up to get the FA cup we were there - where were you?

It’s amazing how Franchise supporters, having pariah status poured on them from all over the football world have to rescrape their excuses barrel where they only ever find one left. It’s the excuse that continues to expose them for what they are but they cannot see it’s a problem. Basically it says that Wimbledon deserve to have their league place transported to an area where people would give up their allegiance to other teams to support this transplant in their stead. Wimbledon fans did not turn up in sufficient numbers during the years when their team, already playing in someone elses ground, drifted away as the plans hardened to move them to Dublin or MK. So its morally acceptable then is it to find a particular fan number below which its OK to move a team. To ignore this is to see football and the franchise principle as appropriate as it is in the US. i.e. a business decision made by people who really can profit from business like Winkleman though the MK fans commenting here are just filling Pete’s wallet. These people are not fans or supporters, they are ‘customers’. AFC Wimbledon make history. MK buy it.

The answer is in the text. Samuelson has only said he will refuse the hospitality, not that he isn't going. It's Wheeler who isn't going.

Well done Erik and the rest of the board why the hell should we give an attention seeking scumbag like Winkleman good press with the handshake that he wants to validate his franchise frankesteins. Oh and since he stole our club the least he could do is not lie about the facts he and the then owners of the club sought to move Wimbledon FC to MK from 2001 onwards, they signed a deal to do so and got a binding ruling from the FA on 28th May 2002 long before the club went into admin. This was in spite of 95%+ of fans being opposed. I have travelled thousands of miles watching my team over 33 years (including 1300 in a week york, exeter, york) but I wont set foot in Stadium MK on 2nd December. I need no lectures on football support from Winkleman or any of the sheep who go to watch them thanks. Watched weimbledon from the 4th division to premier league and from their to the ccl and back
