On 19th May 1897, the foundation stone was laid for the Wimbledon Baptist Church building. Over the next 120 years this church would change names 3 times, move building once and see many thousands of people, impacted by its presence both here in Merton and from all over the world.

Now Everyday Church Wimbledon are here at 30 Queens Road every Sunday, to declare that God loves you, and God loves this town.

Every Wednesday 50 local children and their carers come in to have fun and play, in a safe and loving environment. Every winter, we open our doors to the most vulnerable homeless members of society to give them a warm respite from cold streets.

We support many local and international charities to help make a difference to those around us. And throughout the year we have Fundays, Bright Lights parties, Easter services, Christmas carol events, because we want to celebrate all seasons of life with our friends in the community.

In 2017 we're proud to be a Wimbledon town centre church for over 100 years. That foundation stone laid 120 years ago now sits in our foyer, to remind us about our longevity in the community. However church isn't a building, it is ordinary people. What we're more interested in is the present and the future for you, and for our beautiful town. Come and visit us and see for yourself.
