The choir of St Mary the Virgin church, Merton, put on a Christmas carol performance at a busy Wimbledon train station last night (December 15th) in aid of the Save the Children charity.

As well as cheering up the capital's hard pressed commuters, the choir was handing out leaflets inviting new adult members to join.

In addition to the opportunity to sing in one of London's most beautiful churches, the choristers do singing trips to cathedrals across the UK.
