Joan Kite turned 100 on 2 December and celebrated with four generations of her family at Kathleen Godfree Court.
She was overwhelmed with the number of cards and gifts she recieved and was delighted that MP Stephen Hammond and the First Wimbledon Park Rainbow Guides took time out of their Saturday to help her celebrate.
Joan has lived in South London all her life except for a brief spell she spent in Canada with her husband Peter who started Penguin Books over there.
