A man charged with stabbing a woman to death in Clapham on Saturday evening appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Alexander Kelly, 59, of Britannia Close, Clapham, was charged with the murder of Yvonne Barlow, 41.
Police were called at 9.30pm to the incident at an address in Britannia Close.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.
Kelly, who didn't enter a plea, will now appear before an Old Bailey judge on March 31.
