You could have been forgiven for thinking a temporal rift had opened in Mortlake this afternoon.
But thankfully the appearance of Daleks, Cybermen and The Doctor's time travelling assistant Donna Noble were less signs of an imminent invasion and instead part of the fun at this year's Mortlake Summer Fair.
The eighth annual fair at Stag Brewery Green in Lower Richmond Road was opened once again by actor and comedian Catherine Tate - who can be seen opposite David Tennant in sci-fi favourite Doctor Who.
Children donned Doctor Who outfits to greet Tate who signed autographs for young fans.
Entertainment included a gymnastic display, animal shows and a host of stalls.
Among those who attended the event to raise money for St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School, Worpole Street, was Lib Dem MP Susan Kramer.
