Electricity has been restored to thousands of homes in Sutton and Worcester Park who suffered a power cut this evening.
According to suppliers EDF Energy the power supply was interrupted at 6.51pm.
Homes and business were plunged into darkness because of a fault on the underground electricity network.
A spokesman for the company explained the power had been restored at 8.50pm today.
She added: "We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."
Despite being hit by the power cut punters at the Lord Nelson, London Road, Cheam were still able to enjoy pint albeit in the dark.
