A Putney MP has started a text service for commuters to let her know their problems with the Tube and buses.

Putney MP Justine Greening launched the number after a bad trip on the District Line and being frustrated that nobody at Transport for London (TfL) wanted to know.

"I think many people feel when they complain, their complaint disappears into a big black hole," she said.

TfL deny the claim, saying they take all passenger complaints seriously.

Ms Greening said she wanted to take more than just her own complaints to TfL.

"I was stuck at Earl's Court coming back late at night from Westminster and felt so frustrated," she said.

"As a District Line user every day, I never get asked for my feedback, what my experience is as a customer."

"I realised that actually I could give this same ability to all my constituents."

A TfL spokesperson said anyone with a complaint could come straight to the transport provider, they did not have to go through their MP.
