The growing number of cannabis houses operating in Hounslow are directly related to the human trafficking of illegal immigrants, according to police.

They are confident that the ring is tightening on the Vietnamese drug cartels trying to ply their trade in Hounslow borough after a number of drug factories were shut down.

Intelligence units have carried out four raids in 10 days, arresting six Vietnamese men in the process and confiscating more than 2500 cannabis plants with a street value of around £100,000.

Three vietnamese men were arrested after a raid on a three bedroom house on Spring Grove Road on March 29.

Police Constable Steven Gilbert, from Hounslow Intelligence, said: "Two of the men tried to escape by jumping out of a first floor window of the residential building, and tried to getaway over garden fences, but we were able to chase them down through gardens at the rear of the house. We charged the men with cultivation and abstraction."
