A number of schools have decided to close today because of the snow.

Schools in Epsom, Leatherhead and Worcester Park have announced their decision either not to open or to close early to ensure pupils can get home safely.

Hope, a pupil referral unit for children aged 11 to 16 in West Park Road, Epsom, is closed today.

West Ewell Infant School in Ruxley Lane, Epsom, is closed. Glyn School, a boys’ secondary school in the Kingsway, Ewell, will close at 11am due to adverse weather.

Woodlands School, in Fortyfoot Road, Leatherhead, is closed due to the weather and an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea.

Leatherhead West Hill School in Kingston Road, is closed and Therfield School, in Dilston Road, is closing after lunch time registration.

Linden Bridge School, a special school for students with autism and social communication difficulties, is closed in Grafton Road, Worcester Park.

Polesden Lacey Infant School in Oakdale Close, Bookham, is also closed. Gritters were out on Surrey roads at 7pm last night and again at 4am to ensure main roads stay open today.
