Sutton’s child genius Aadarsh George will be pitting his many talents against some of the country’s most precocious young minds next month.

Aadarsh, who does not turn four until February, hit the headlines last year when his remarkable knowledge of the world’s capital cities caught the public’s imagination.

In next month’s competition, the British Malayali Awards 2010, Aadarsh will be up against two sisters who achieved the highest GCSE result in the country and a 13-year-old who has already published a book of poems.

But at only three-years-old, Aadarsh is by far the youngest entrant and has expanded his knowledge from capitals to cars, computers, abbreviations and even the Bible.

Parents Anish George, 39, and Manju Anish, 34, of Wellow Walk, Carshalton, are astonished by their son’s extraordinary memory and do not know where he gets his talent from.

His father, a sales assistant at Matalan in Sutton, said: “Aadarsh’s abilities continue to amaze us. I think he has a fantastic chance of winning the competition if he can get enough votes.

“When he grows up he wants to be a scientist or an inventor. He told me wants to help the environment by inventing a car that can run on water.

“His talent is good but all I want is for him to grow up to be a good man. Then everything else will come to him in life.”

From age two-and-a-half the child prodigy, who attends nursery school, begged his parents to teach him facts before he got out of bed in the morning.

Within three-months he knew around 200 capital cities and had started using the family computer to look up information on internet search engines.

He can tell you currencies, prime ministers, opposition party leaders, the most populated countries and even the name of the secretary-general of the UN.

Following the initial coverage of Aadarsh’s talents last year, he was even contacted by Prime Minister David Cameron and former Indian president Dr Abdul Kalam. To vote for Aadarsh visit indouknews.com/bmaward2010 To watch Aadarsh demonstrate his abilities visit youtube.com/watch?v=X1qhHQX_kQU
