Sainsbury’s Orpington Store have recently chosen their Local Charirty.
The Orpington Store will be supporting Mind Care Dementia Support for the next 12 months after votes were cast by customers in store and colleagues.
Orpington’s choice, Mind Care Dementia Support is part of the charity Bromley & Lewisham Mind the charity provides dementia support in the London boroughs of Bromley and Lewisham to help adults with dementia stay in their homes and local communities.
They provide:
- Support in local centres and at home for adults with dementia in Bromley
- Support centres for adults with dementia living in boroughs surrounding Bromley
- Dementia information and support for adults with dementia in Lewisham
- Information, training and coaching for friends and family carers, caring for adults with dementia
- Dementia training, coaching and consultancy for care professionals and care providers
Sainsbury’s in Orpington is a very small store but they raised almost £1000 for their last charity last year.
With the help of new colleagues and the local community their goal is to raise even more money than last year and to also raise awareness.
