A Mitcham man has been charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in Nottinghamshire.
Jemelle Rodney, who lives in Thornville Grove, off Haslemere Avenue, was charged last night with the murder of 19-year-old Nathan Somers on August 31.
The 27-year-old was arrested with two other male teenagers, aged 18 and 17, after Mr Somers’s body was found on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation Park in Newark.
A post-morterm examination found Mr Somers died of a stab wound and it is believed he had been involved in a fight at a birthday party.
Mr Rodney will appear later today at Nottingham Magistrates Court while the other two remain on bail, pending further enquiries.
UPDATE (2.30pm): Mr Rodney will appear at Nottingham Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday, October 18).
