Former home and foreign secretary, Jack Straw, has made a rare appearance at the Wimbledon Bookfest to promote his new memoir.
The ex Lord Chancellor gave a talk at Collyer Hall at Kings College School in Wimbledon on Monday, recounting his experience of working on the frontline of British politics and how he got there.
With a career in government spanning 13 years, the book, Last Man Standing, gives a first-hand insight into the Blair/Brown years and the controversy surrounding the Iraq war.
The Wimbledon Bookfest 2012 continues this weekend with headliners including the Fabulous Baker Brothers and Will Young.
