A group of mums and daughters have donated their hair for cancer sufferers, in memory of a Mitcham boy who passed away after a five-year battle with the disease.

Tracy Curtis and Michelle Mahoney were among those getting their hair cut at Hi-Di-Highlights, in Church Road, Mitcham, last month.

Mrs Curtis’s son, Alfie, had cancer diagnosed at age five and passed away five years later.

She and her friends all got their hair cut by seven inches, and these were donated to the Little Princesses charity, who make wigs for children with cancer.
