Former Prime Minister, Sir John Major, appeared at Wimbledon’s Polka Theatre to talk about his father’s theatrical exploits.
Sir John Major, a former Rutlish student whose father was a music hall performer and songwriter, has written a new book called My Old Man - A Personal History of Music Hall, and will also appear at this year’s Wimbledon Bookfest literary festival.
Organisers said Sir John was in "good humour" and spent an hour signing books after the event on Saturday, September 30.
Bookfest, now in its sixth year, runs from October 6 to 14 with Coronation Street actress Denise Welch, Labour MP Jack Straw and singer Will Young among some of the high profile guests.
