Mitcham Common was transformed into a stage last week when a theatre group moved in for a one-off open air performance.
The Legend of Woesterdam is a love story which has been performed all over Europe by Studio Orka - a Belgian collective of designers and actors.
School children were treated to a performance on Mitcham Common on Friday, September 24.
Taking the common as their backdrop, the performers told the story of Woesterdam - a city which has lost the ability to love - culminating with a treasure chest emerging from the depths of the Seven Islands pond.
