A Brazilian-themed celebration brought the 2012 Games to an end last week.
Hundreds enjoyed a free event at Merton Abbey Mills on Wednesday, August 8, to celebrate the end of the Games with live music, food stalls, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.
The day culminated with an open air concert performed by Brazilian dance and samba act Viramundo – who have performed at the Notting Hill Carnival – acknowledging the South American country as hosts of the next Olympic Games in 2016.
