Tennis fans weren’t the only ones enjoying Wimbledon this week with some spectators of the micro pig variety turning out to show their support.

These tiny piglets from Bedfordshire have been selectively bred down in size over many generations and have become popular pets.

Micro pigs, also known as tea cup pigs, can be as small as 15inches high, or grow to the height of a Labrador and cost anywhere from £299 to £650 depending on its age, sex and colour.

there are many of these pigs now in rescue, because people bought these on a 'whim'!! & abandoned them when novelty wore off. Shame on you (guardian) & breeder (yuck) for promoting this. & free advertising for breeder (you stated price!?) WRONG ON ALL LEVELS

Absolutely adorable pictures that brighten up the day.

Perhaps bodon prifiz should do some researech about the number of dogs and cats in rescue homes before commenting on pigs!!

Thank you Wimbledon Guardian

@ piglover, as a rescue/animal welfare fan, i have 2 cats & 3 dogs ALL rescues, would never in a million years go to a breeder. I know through research, because 'some' people dont take responsibility & neuter/spey all their pets, our rescues are full (including pig rescues, suggest you google!?) & because of that statistics show well over 250 000 healthy adoptable animals are PTS every year in the UK. GET REAL, STOP BREEDING & rescue rescue all the way!!
