Firefighters cut driver from his car after crash in Mitcham
Firefighters were called to a road traffic accident in Mitcham this morning.
Crews from Battersea and Norbury and a specialist rescue unit from Wimbledon fire station were called to London Road at the Junction with Victoria Road at 5.55am.
One driver needed to be cut from his car and firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle to free the man.
The man who is believed to be in his 40s, was taken to hospital with suspected neck injuries.
The second driver was able to leave his vehicle unaided before fire crews arrived.
