A mother and her too sons who jumped 20,000 feet from a plane have raised nearly £20,000 for charity.

Anne Waldron, from Wimbledon, joined seven other women for the third annual Breakthrough Booby Birds sky dive over Oxfordshire.

She has already raised £17,000 and is on track to meet her target of £20,000.

She said: "Jumping out of a plane didn’t scare me as much as raising £20,000, a huge amount which I never thought I would get to but I have been amazed and truly touched by people’s generosity.

"We are yet to get the better of this dreadful disease, but I whole heartedly believe that every penny that I have raised will go direct to Breakthrough’s life saving work, and one day soon, we will beat breast cancer for good."

The Breakthrough Booby Birds have already raised nearly £1m in three years for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
