A motorcyclist died yesterday morning after a crash involving a Mercedes in Mitcham.
Police are appealing for information following the fatal road traffic collision in London Road, at the junction with Crusoe Road, shortly before 7.30am on April 28.
A red Honda motorcycle collided with a silver Mercedes 180cl.
The motorcyclist, a man aged 53, came off the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Next of kin are aware, however, formal identification is yet to take place.
The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit based at Hampton Traffic Garage are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
