Emergency services have begun to clean up a Wimbledon road after a lorry overturned on it this afternoon.
A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman has confirmed no-one was injured or trapped in the vehicle when it ended up on its side in St Mary's Road earlier today.
Icy conditions are thought to be behind the accident. The fire service spokeswoman said it had asked Merton Council to clean up the road.
She added crews from Brixton, Mitcham and New Malden were sent to the scene at 1pm this afternoon. Firemen have been inspecting the underside of the vehicle, and the road was partially closed after the accident.
