Barclays staff volunteered to take part in a major garden makeover for families in crisis, run by leading charity NCH.
Twenty-five enthusiastic green-fingered volunteers began work on August 23 to build a special wall in Leyton Road, Wimbledon, for young people to expresss themselves through graffiti art.
The community-minded staff will also toil away turning a disused sand pit into a herb garden and creating a quiet and relaxing area with garden furniture.
Barclays will be working with this and other projects providing financial support and group sessions for families within a tight budget who are struggling with money management skills.
Darren Johnson, from NCH children's services in London, said: "The families we work with can go through some challenging times so having this garden will hopefully provide a safe and creative way for them to cope with their difficult feelings."
