Morden youth club hits sixty

The oldest youth club in Merton has celebrated 60 years of fun and adventure.

Current and former members and supporters of Endeavour Youth Club in Morden enjoyed a party to mark the occasion this weekend.

More than 100 people - including Gordon Afflick, one of the first to join in 1951, and its youngest current member Frankie Bird - celebrated at its headquarters in Kenneth Black House, Martin Way on Sunday.

Club leader Nick Skilton said it had been a fantastic day with “a lot of old faces and a lot of old members”.
